Fenugreek seeds are used as a herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine under the name Hu Lu Ba. Fenugreek is one of the oldest herbs traditionally used in ancient Greece, Egypt and China. It has been used in a variety of ways and can be added to hot water to make tea. Fenugreek seeds are a source of the polysaccharide galactomannan. They are also a source of the group of metabolites called saponins.
